Front page of The Daily Break

Hello,

There was an article about me on the front page of The Virginian Pilot's The Daily Break section!  The article was all about my senior degree project from school and my appearance in ELLE Magazine.  I had no idea I would be on the cover so I was really happy, thank you to Jamesetta Walker who wrote the article and to everyone who read it and enjoyed it!  Here is a photo of the front page (by the way kudos to the layout people, it looks awesome):

ELLE Magazine's 25th Anniversary Issue is Out!

ELLE Magazine's 25th Anniversary Issue is out for October and me and my work are in it!  If you pick up a copy it is on pages 260 and 265!   The rest of the articles in the magazine are also really good.

Here are the pictures of my work and me as from the magazine:

Check the magazine out for the article and better quality on the pictures!

Here's a video of my piece on the runway!

A family member took some clips of my piece on the runway, so hopefully you can see how it moves!  It isn't great quality, but you get the idea...

ELLE and RISD Fashion Next Show in NYC

I just got back from going to fashion week at the Lincoln center in NYC.  My work was in the ELLE and RISD Fashion Next Show!

To see the Show go to:

To vote for the People's Choice Award go to:

To see the photo that ELLE's photographer took of my piece go to:

It was really interesting being behind the scenes and getting to see my work on the runway.  I got to be backstage as they did the hair, makeup, and dressed the first models at which point we needed to go up to take our seats.  I am really glad I was backstage to help get my piece on the model, because it is a confusing piece:

My model was very sweet and easy to work with and her walk was great for the piece, I was lucky to have her honestly.  Seeing the piece go down the runway was the best part because I made the piece for myself so I had never seen it move on someone else.  It surprises most people to find out that a lot of the piece is actually flexible because it is made with sterling silver snake chain in some parts which look like wire, but it is flexible.

Fashion week was really crowded and the Project Runway Show Finale was going on in the building next to where our show was happening at the same time.  Overall it was an interesting experience and I am really looking forward to seeing the article in the October issue of ELLE for their 25th Anniversary.   Thank you to anyone who vote, I would really appreciate it!
